How to Make Triangle Pattern Weights

Why triangle pattern weights?  Well if you make a lot of items where patterns are needed like garments, pattern weights are a good alternative to pins.  Using pattern weights and a rotary cutter can be faster and easier than pins and scissors when cutting out patterns.  They are also perfect for tracing out patterns which is what I use them for most often.  These pattern weights are a great beginner sewing project that anyone with basic sewing skills can make.  They take no time at all and make a terrific gift for the sewist in your life.  This project is a great scrap busting project as well.

I chose a remnant that I had in my stash for my triangle pattern weights but you can choose any fabric in your stash or scraps.  You could also head to JOANN Fabric & Craft Stores, Hobby Lobby, Fabric, com, or onlinefabricstore.net to get the perfect fabric for your pattern weights.  This post contains affiliate links that If you click on them and make a purchase I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.  As an Amazon associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
