How to sew a bow clutch

How to sew a bow clutch with this free bow clutch pattern and tuutorial.  I just love this bow clutch.  It is so chic and you can make it in any fabric you like.  I made mine to match the Hawaiian patterned skirt I made last month and it came out perfectly.  This is a beginner project although there is a zipper involved and lining.  I believe that if you follow these steps you too can make this lovely bow clutch.

If you do not have left over fabric like I did you can head over to Fabric.com or Hobby Lobby to find the perfect fabric for your clutch.  This project contains affiliate links that if you click on them and make a purchase I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.  This is a beginner sewing project.

Turn the pieces right side out and top stitch along the zipper.  Repeat with the other side of the zipper using the back of the clutch piece and lining.

Place the bow front and the outer back right sides together and the lining pieces right sides together.  You should have a long bag and lining piece.  Using a 1/4″ seam allowance sew the front and back pieces together and the lining pieces together leaving the zipper open and a 2-3″ opening in the lining.  It is important that the zipper is open for this step or you will not be able to turn the bag.
