I love dollar Tree Crafts. This Dollar Tree Mini Message Board is super simple to make and is perfect to leave short notes or even photos for others to see. Like most Dollar Tree Crafts this one is super simple to put together once you have all of the components. It is pretty cute too. I actually had to go to two different Dollar Trees to get what I wanted for this project but you can order the items from dollar tree.com if you like. Most everything used in this project came from Dollar Tree except the wood stain and hot glue so it is essentially a one stop shop for this project. What you will Need: How to Make a Dollar Tree Mini Message Board
- Candle stick
- 2 wooden squares
- Wired Jute Cord
- Mini clothespin
- Wood stain
- Hot Glue
Step 1: Stain the Wood and Clothes Pin
Following the manufacturer’s instructions stain the wood squares and the mini clothespin the same color. Let dry. Cover the wood pieces with Polyurethane to seal.
Step 2: Cover the Candle Stick with Jute
Using your hot glue gun glue the jute cord all the way around the candle stick covering it entirely.
Step 3: Glue one of the Wood Squares
Take one of the wood squares and glue it flat on top of the candle stick so that it is centered.
Step 4: Add the Clothespin
Hot glue the mini clothespin to the top center of the other wood square.
Step 5: Add the Ribbon
Make a bow out of the ribbon and hot glue it to the top pf the clothespin.
Step 6: Hot Glue the Second Wood Square
Place the second wood square on its end and hot glue it to the first wood square so that it is centered. Once you have glued the second square you have finished your Dollar Tree Mini Message Board.
