What you will Need: How to Make Dollar Tree Faux Candy

Step 1: Glue the Bowls

Start by gluing the clear plastic bowls together rim to rim. Add some hot glue and e6000 to the rim of one of the bowls. Place it onto the rim of the other bowl and let set.

Step 3: Paint the Bowls

Paint the attached bowls white using the white chalk paint. Let dry. Add a second coat of white. Make sure that the paint is thoroughly dry before moving on to the next step.

Step 4: Tape the bowls

Using the masking tape mask off diagonal stripes. Start the stripes on the salad bowl end and wrap the tape around the entire project by rotating the bowls. I used two pieces of tape side by side. Leave some of the white showing. Then add two additional pieces of tape just a bit apart between the original pieces of tape as shown.

Step 5: Paint the red or green

Where you see the larger of the two white gaps paint the red or green paint. You will need two coats here as well.

Wrap the Candies in the cellophane and tie with Christmas colored bakers twine.

Step 8: Add the Ribbon

Create two bows from the ribbon and place them on the seam you created when you added the salad bowls to the ends of the clear plastic goals. Add a Jingle bell on the knot of the bow.
