10 Things to Sew for Back to School

Its that time of year and the kids are preparing to go back to school.  I have come across 10 things to sew for back to school. I know it is a bit early but if you are going to sew for back to school you should get a jump on it now.  Take a look at these projects.  Some of them are my own patterns and tutorials and some of them are from around the web but they are all great for back to school.

All of these projects are simple to make and require basic to advanced-beginner sewing skills because there are zippers involved. I know many of you beginner sewers are intimidated by zippers but you needn’t be.  Just use the zipper foot for your machine and follow the tutorials and you will be able to install a zipper like a pro.  Remember you can always pin or use zipper tape to attach your zipper before sewing.  I prefer to use zipper tape as it keeps my zippers secure and doesn’t clog up my needle.
