What You will Need: How to Make a Dollar Tree Bee Themed BirdHouse
- Dollar Tree BirdHouse
- Dollar Tree Candle Stick
- Faux flowers
- Black and white buffalo check vinyl
- Black chalk paint
- Yellow Chalk paint
- Black paint pen
- Black and white ribbon
- Bee findings
- Hot Glue
- e6000
Step 1: Paint the Birdhouse
Start this project by painting the square the house is sitting on black using the black chalk paint. Paint the body of the house using yellow chalk paint. Finally, paint the edges of the roof black using the black paint pen or the black chalk paint.

Step 2: Add the Vinyl
Place a piece of Dollar Tree buffalo check vinyl on the roof of the house. Trim off any excess using a craft knife or some sand paper.

Step 3: Paint the Candle Stick
Paint the candle stick using the yellow chalk paint. Let the paint dry and add another coat.

Step 4: Decorate the Birdhouse
Start by adding some bricks around the holes in the birdhouse. I just placed some black boxes around the holes and colored them in using a brown paint pen. Place one of the bees on the front of the bird house. Use the paint pen to draw a few dotted lines to represent the flight of the bee.

Step 5: Create a Small Bow
Create a small bow by taking small strips of black and yellow ribbon and cut dove tails by folding the ends in half and cut diagonally downward toward the end of the ribbon. I cut four of the yellow and four black. I stacked them by alternating the yellow and black. Secure them by using a piece of twine. Add abee to the center of the bow.

Step 6: Place the House on the Candle Stick
Using a combination of hot glue and e6000 glue the birdhouse to the top of the candle stick.

Step 7: Add the flowers
Starting at the bottom of the candle stick hot glue some yellow faux flowers. Continue wrapping flowers around the candle stick until you get to the bottom of the birdhouse. Add a few bees along the way. Once the flowers and bees have been added you have finished your Dollar Tree Bee Themed birdhouse.
