Easter is just around the corner so for me it is Dollar Tree time. I know Dollar Tree is not the first place you look but it is a great place for craft supplies especially for the holidays. For Easter there are loads of craft supplies. I grabbed a few and came up with this fun Easter Bunny door hanging. If you enjoy Dollar Tree crafts and want more head over to our Dollar Tree page.

What you will Need
Step 1: Paint the Bunny Door Hanger
Paint the bunny white using the white chalk paint. I only needed one coat but you could use two. Age the bunny using the brown wax. I used a baby wipe and and covered the bunny and then wiped it off.

Step 2: Cut the Cardboard
Cut the cardboard in the shape of the ear inserts.

Step 3: Decoupage the Hearts and Cardboard
Paint the hearts and cardboard with Modpodge. Let the Modpodge dry. Place the napkin onto the ear inserts and the hearts. Place a piece of parchment paper on the napkin and using a small iron smooth out the napkins. The Modpodge will melt and the napkin will stick. Once that is dry sand off the excess and add more Modpodge on top to seal.

Step 4: Add the Hearts and Cardboar
Hot glue the hearts to the feet and hot glue the ear inserts to the ears.

Step 5: Add the Face
Using the black paint add the eyes. Place a white dot on the eyes. Paint the wood knob pink and hot glue it to the face. Add the cheeks with pink paint.

Step 7: Add the Bow
Create a bow using Easter ribbon. I used my Bowdabra to make mine. I also took the bow making class from Southern Charm Wreath that you can take too. Once you have created the bow hot glue it to the neck of the bunny.

Step 8: Paint the Carrot
Paint the carrot using orange and green chalk paint. I also aged it with the wax. Once the carrot is dry add a bow made from the twine.

Step 9: Hot Glue the Carrot
Hot glue the carrot just underneath the bow. Once that is done you have finished this adorable Dollar Tree Easter Bunny Door Hanging.
