I have decided to do another crafting favorite. I have been seeing these all over the place and thought I would make one myself. This is a fun shovel door hanger that literally anyone can make. This is such a cute project for the spring and summer to decorate your front door. I really enjoyed making this craft project. What you will Need: How to Make a Fun Summer Shovel Door Hanger
Step 1: Cut the Pool Noodle
Cut the pool noodle the length of the shaft of the shovel.

Step 2: Slice the Pool Noodle
Slice one side of the Noodle but only through one side so that it can open to the hollow center.

Step 3: Add the Noodle to the Shovel
Wrap the Pool Noodle around the shaft of the shovel. You can secure it with a tie wrap if you like.

Step 4: Add the Flowers
Cut the flower stems and insert the flowers into the pool noodle. Cover the entire front side of the noodle with faux flowers.

Step 5: Create the Bow
I used three different ribbons for my bow. I used my Bowdabra to create the bow. If you struggle with making bows head over to Southern Charm Wreaths and take their bow making class.

Step 6: Add the Bow to the Shovel
Using a large zip tie attach the bow to the center front of the pool noodle. You may have to remove a flower to get it to sit right.

Step 7: Add the Flower Pot to the Shovel
Using a large zip tie push it through the hole on the bottom of the pot through to the top. Then, wrap the zip tie through the zip tie you used to attach the bow. Place the pot in the center of the bow.

Step 8: Add the Floral foam
Place some small pieces of floral foam into the mini flower pot.

Step 9: Add flowers to the pot
I added some smaller flowers with longer stems to my mini flower pot. I simply pushed the stems into the floral foam. Once the smaller flowers have been added hang the shovel and enjoy.
