Perfect Holiday Wine Tote
Perfect Holiday Wine Tote
The holiday season is coming. Like many people I like to give wine as gifts and this year I have made my own wine perfect holiday wine totes to go along with the gifts of wine. These wine totes are super easy to make and require just a little bit of fabric and some interfacing. You can use any fabric you like but I chose a cut little pumpkin print for the upcoming Halloween and Thanksgiving seasons. This perfect holiday wine tote comes from Joyce Decunzo from All People Quilt and I couldn’t help but share it with you.
I dove into my stash for a remnant for this project but you can go to JOANN Fabric & Craft Stores or Fabric.com for the fabric of your choice. This post contains affiliate links that if you click on them and make a purchase I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

What you will need:
- 3/8 yd of an exterior print and a lining print
- 3/8 yd medium weight interfacing
- Pattern you can get by clicking on this link
- Standard sewing supplies
Step 1: Print out the pattern
Print out the pattern pieces. Take the wine tote pieces and tape them together at the small dots. Place the wine tote pattern onto a large folded piece of paper and cut it on the fold. You should have one large piece with two wine bottle shapes.
Step 2: cut out your fabrics
Cut out a piece of outer fabric, lining fabric and interfacing using the large pattern piece. Cut the circle piece from the same fabrics. Fuse the interfacing to the outer fabric.
Step 3: Sew lining to outer piece
With right sides together place the lining piece on top of the outer piece and pin. Sew the upper inner curves and outer curves using a 1/4″ seam allowance.
Step 4: turn right side out
Turn the right side handle piece right side out and insert it into the left side handle piece making sure that the lining lines up. Sew across the straight edges through all layers.
Step 5: turn the tote wrong side out
Pull out the handle and lay the piece right sides together lengthwise and sew the long seam. Turn wrong side out.
Step 6: sew the bottom and finish the tote
Using a 1/4″ seam allowance sew the bottom circle to the open bottom of the tote. Turn right side out and add a nice bottle of wine. You have now completed a perfect holiday wine tote.
