There was also some white flowers along with wood stars. I had the fabric that I used but you could use cardstock or other patriotic paper for you Dollar Tree Patriotic Flower Display. I love the Stars and Stripes and this was a great way to show them off. Other than the Fabric I used for the decoupage everything came from Dollar Tree. I hope you like this project. What you will Need: How to Make a Dollar Tree Flower Display
- 2 Dollar Tree Star Hangers
- 1 Dollar Tree floral foam
- Dollar Tree Patriotic Flowers
- Foam Stars
- Red striped paper or fabric
- Blue star paper or fabric
- 1 Dollar Tree Mini crate
- Red Chalk paint
- White chalk paint
- Mod Podge
- Hot Glue
Step 1: Paint the Stars
Paint one side of the stars white and one side red using the chalk paint.

Step 2: Decoupage the Stars
Place Mod Podge on the white side of the star. If you are using paper let the Mod Podge dry completely. Place the paper on top. Cover the paper with parchment. Iron the parchment until the Mod Podge fuses the paper to the star. If you are using fabric like I did place the fabric onto the wet Mod Podge and smooth out any wrinkles, Let dry completely or dry with a heat tool. Once the paper or fabric is dry cover the paper with another coat of Mod Podge. Repeat for the small stars.

Step 3: Add the Small Star
Hot glue the small star to the larger star.

Step 4: Paint the ends of the crate
Paint just the ends of the crate red using the same chalk paint you used for the stars.

Step 5: Add the Crate
Place hot glue onto one side of the crate. Lay the star with the striped side facing up on top of the hot glue. Turn the whole piece over. Add additional hot glue to the other side of the crate and add the other star in the same way.

Step 6: Add the Floral Foam
Place two pieces of floral foam into the crate. You can hot glue the foam to the inside of the crate but I did not find it necessary.

Step 7: Add the Flowers
Place the flowers into the floral foam in the manner that is most pleasing to you. I added red, white and blue flowers. Once you have added the flowers add the foam stars. I purchased a bundle of flowers that came with the red and blue flowers as well as the stars and some silver pieces. I then added some white flowers to finish it off.
