What you will Need

Step 1: Decoupage the Large Heart
Place some Mod Podge onto the large heart. Let it dry. Place the top ply of the napkin onto the heart. Cover the napkin with __paper. Iron the heart on the ___ paper to adhere the napkin and prevent wrinkles. Let cool. Remove the excess. Top the heart with additional Mod Podge.

Step 2: Tape and Paint the Medium Heart
I measured 2 1/2″ from the top and bottom and added the tape. Paint the top and bottom with brown paint. Wipe off the excess using a baby wipe.

Step 3: Decoupage the Center
Add the napkin to the center using the same decoupage technique as before.

Step 4: Add the Lace
Place the lace on the seams between the wood and the napkin.

Step 5: Distress
Using Distress Oxide distress the large heart and the medium heart.

Step 6: Paint the Cubes
Using the brown paint cover all six sides of the cubes

Step 7: Glue the Cubes
Glue the Cubes to the large heart. I used hot glue and wood glue for this process.

Step 8: Add the Medium Heart
Using the hot glue and the wood glue add the medium heart to the large heart.

Step 9: Add the Word Love
I purchased this word from Hobby Lobby. Paint each letter a different color and hot glue it to the center of the medium heart.

Step 10: Add the Bow
Create a bow using the Dollar Tree ribbon. I used my bowdabra for my bow. If you are uncomfortable making bows do what I did. Take the bow making course that I did from Southern Charm Wreaths. You can take the course by clicking on the link.

Step 11: Add the Styrofoam Hearts
I purchased a number of different hearts at Dollar tree. Add them to the top of the heart in between the layers.

You have now finished your Valentine’s day shelf sitter. You could add some twine and hand it on the door if you like.
