How to Make a Jack-O-Lantern Lamp Post

The autumn and Halloween season is upon us. I love the colors of fall even though we don’t really see them here in California. Fortunately I can get them in craft store and fill my home with them. In this case I decided to do a Jack-O-Lantern Lamp Post with fall flowers to really bring the Autumn season home. This is a very easy to make craft project that anyone can make. What you will Need: How to Make a Jack-O-Lantern Lamp Post

Step 1: Attach the Door Stops

The door stops have screws on the end. Screw one of the stops to the center of the top piece of hardwood and one into the long center piece.

Step 2: Glue the Hardwoods Together

I used one long and two short pieces of hardwood from the package. Glue them together using the glue of your choice. I used both wood glue and hot glue. Add the tower of hardwoods to the square plaque.

Step 3: Fill in The Gaps

Using the wood putty fill in the gaps between the post pieces. Sand the excess to make it smooth.

Step 3: Spray Paint the Piece

Spray paint the entire piece including the door stops.

Step 4: Add the Solar Light

Cut off the bottom post so that the bottom is flat. Glue the solar light to the top of the pillar.

Step 5: Create the Jack-O-Lanterns

Add a piece of floral foam into each of the Jack-O-Lanterns. Insert a variety of faux fall flowers.

Step 6: Hang the Jack-O-Lanterns

Hang the Jack-O-Lanterns from the door stops. You have now finished your Jack-O-Lantern Lamp Post. Enjoy!!
