Step 1: Add the Tile

Place the tile on top of one of the hearts using hot glue. Flip the heart over and cut off the excess off using a craft knife.

Step 2: Add the Craft sticks

Hot glue the craft sticks across the second heart. Flip the heart over and cut off the excess using a craft knife.

Step 3: Paint the Hearts

Paint the tiled heart milk jug colored chalk paint, the craft stick heart red and the remaining heart pink. This may take several coats. You can use acrylic or chalk paint.

Step 4: Paint the Tumbling Tower Blocks

Step 5: Age the hearts

Take a large round brush and load it with the espresso distress oxide. Wipe a bit off on a paper towel. Brush the oxide onto the edges of the hearts to demonstrate age.

Step 6: Glue the hearts

Using hot glue and tacky glue attach the pink and red hearts to each other. I glued the red heart to the pink heart on the top curves of the hearts. I then glued the white heart on top of the red and pink hearts.

Step 7: Wrap the ribbon

Take a piece of ribbon and wrap the three hearts. Hot glue the ribbon in the front. Add some lace ribbon to the first ribbon and hot glue on the front. Add a bit of hot glue on different parts of the ribbon to secure it to the hearts.

Using the same ribbon create a simple bow. I just crisscrossed the ribbon and scrunched the center. Secure the center of the bow with a piece of twine or a zip tie. Add a third piece of ribbon to the center to cover the twine or zip tie. Hot glue that.

Step 8: Add the Ball Pick

Shorten the stem on the ball pick. Hot glue the Michael's ball pick to the ribbon on the hearts.

Step 9: Create the Bow

Create a basic bow by crisscrossing the ribbon and scrunching the middle. Tie with a zip tie or twine. Cover the tie with another piece of ribbon and hot glue.

Step 10: Add the Bow

Hot glue the bow to the front of the hearts. Once that is done you have finished your Dollar Tree Valentine's Heart decor.
