How to Make a Christmas Ornament Snowman

There is nothing easier to make than this simple Christmas ornament snowman. It is a basic craft for the hot glue gun user. I bought all of the components to this project and simply glued them on. It really doesn’t get any easier than this and it is super cute too. If you would like more Christmas crafts head over to my Holiday Projects Vault for more. I saw this project on Downredbudrive.com.

I made this one to sit on my mantle and not to hang on my tree so I used an ornament shaped picture holder hat I got at Hobby Lobby. I used a small hat an some Christmas greenery from Hobby Lobby as well. The face of my snowman consists of google eyes and snowman buttons that I got at JOANN Fabric & Craft Stores. Of course hot glue was used to adhere the pieces.

What you will Need: How to Make a Christmas Ornament Snowman

Step 1: Add the Hat and Ribbon

Tie the ribbon around the loop in the ornament top. Using an awl or a craft knife create a hole in the top center of the hat. Thread the loop you created with the ribbon though the hole. Place some hot glue around he bottom of he hat to secure it to the ornament.

Step 2: Glue the Face

Glue the google eyes relatively close together using hot glue. Place the carrot nose button under the eyes and secure with hot glue. I used a black sharpie for the mouth

Step 3: Add the Greenery to the Hat

I used a loral pick with Christmas greenery. I needed to cut off the pick part so I used wire cutters to cut off the excess wire. Once I cut off the wires I hot glued the greenery to the hat for a pop of color. If you use a light weight ornate hang it on your tree. If you have used a picture holder like I did set it anywhere in your home for a fun decoration.
