How to Make a Dollar Tree Tiered Tray
As those of you who follow Sew Very Crafty know, I love Dollar Tree crafts. I decided two make this standard Dollar tree craft that can be decorated for every season and share it with you. this Dollar tree tiered tray is a super simple beginner craft that anyone can make. What you will Need: How to Make a Dollar Tree Tiered Tray
- Pizza pan
- Pie pan
- Cake pan
- 2 glass candle holders + 1 Optional holder
- Chalk ppray Paint
- Black spray chalk board paint
- e6000 or hot glue
- Sand paper
- Table tennis ball (Optional)
Step 1: Paint the Pieces Black
I used chalkboard paint for my pieces because I like the finish it gives and I had it on hand. Paint the three pans and the glass candle holders black. You may need a couple of coats. Make sure that it is completely dry before moving on to the next step.
Step 2: Paint the Pieces White
Spray paint over the black paint with white paint. Again, you may need multiple coats.
Step 3: Sand the White Paint
Take your sand paper and lightly sand off the white paint so that you can see the black paint in areas that would appear to have wear. Do this for all of your pieces.
Step 4: Glue the Pieces Together
Using either e6000 or hot glue glue one candle holder to the center of the pizza pan. make sure the you measure to find the center or your tiered tray will be wonky. Find the center of the pie pan and glue it to the top of the candle holder you just attached to the pizza pan. Next, Add another candle holder to the center top of the pie pan. Finally, glue the cake pan to the top of the candle holder. You have finished the tiered tray
Step 5: Add another Candle Holder and Ball (Optional)
If you like, you can add a third candle holder to the top of the cake pan. Place a Dollar Tree table tennis ball that you have also painted on top of the candle holder to really finish it off.
Step 6: Decorate for the Season
Decorate your tiered tray for every season.
