Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
I love the look and sound of wind chimes though they drive my husband crazy. Still, I thought I would give you my take on the terracotta pot wind chimes. They are super easy to make and can be decorated however you would like. I chose a bumble bee theme for mine.
What you will Need:
- 3-4 terracotta pots in graduated sizes. I used three from the smallest to medium sized
- Beads with a large hole.
- Twine
- Acrylic Paints
- Charms
- Paint brushes and Q-tips
Step 1: Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
Paint your terracotta pots in the design that you would like. I painted the large pot with bumble bees and the smaller pots with black, white and yellow dots. I used background colors of black and yellow for my theme.
Step 2: Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
Once all of the paint has dried begin putting the pots together. I found a packet of three charms that had a large bee and two smaller ones. I combined the three charms together on one ring. I took a length of twine, however long you would like depending on the size and number of pots you used and threaded it through the charms.
Step 3: Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
With both pieces of twine in your hand tie a knot about 1/4″ – 1/2″ above the charms. Place a bead on top of the knot.
Step 4: Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
Place the smallest of your pots on top of the bead. Tie another knot about 1/4″ – 1/2″ above the pot and place another bead.
Step 5: Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
Place the next pot on top of the bead and continue in that manner until you have finished with your pots.
Step 6: Terracotta Pot Wind Chimes
Add some beads to the tip of the last pot for decoration and tied a know in the twine where you want the chime to hang and you have finished your terracotta pot wind chimes.
