I really needed a nice inexpensive project for my dining room table this Christmas so I decided to create this easy to make Dollar Tree Joy Home Decor using wine glasses. I really like how this came out and it is exactly what I wanted for my recent home renovation. This is a very easy home decor piece that can be Made in a few hours with stunning results. What you will Need: How to make Dollar Tree JOY Home Decor
- 3 Dollar Tree wine glasses
- Red Spray Paint
- Black spray paint
- Red Adhesive letters or Cricut
- Dollar Tree Black and White checked ribbon
- Christmas florals and picks
- 3 Dollar Tree Candles
- 3 Large Red Jingle Bells
- Hot Glue
- e6000 glue
- Matte Mod Podge
- Cricut
- Permanent Vinyl
- Bowdabra (Optional)
Step 1: Paint the glasses Black
Spray paint the glasses black. Use as many coats as you need. I used two. Let dry completely.
Step 2: Add the letters
You can either purchase Red stick on letters or use your Cricut to create them. I used my Cricut and permanent vinyl to create a 2″ J and a Y and a 1″ circle. You can purchase red adhesive letters online. Place the “J” and “Y” onto their respective glasses. You can add an “o” to the center glass but I opted to add just a circle. Once the letters were on I aded a bit of Matte Mod Podge to secure them.
Step 3: Add the Wreath
I purchased a package of four wreath Christmas ornaments from Michaels to use as the “O” in my JOY. Simply hot glue one of the wreaths to the circle you added where the “O” would go to create the word JOY on the glasses.
Step 6: Create three Bows
Using the black and white checked ribbon create three bows. If you are uncomfortable making the bows head over to Southern Charm Wreaths and take their bow making course. Make sure that the bows are large enough to cover the seam where the stem meets the bowl and so that you can add floral components.
Step 6: Add the Bows
Using e6000 and hot glue attach the bows to the glasses.
Step 7: Add the Florals
I used a combination of picks, berries and greenery to embellish the bus. Turn the glasses upside down. Use the e6000 and hot glue to add the greenery and berries. Once you have added enough florals to your satisfaction add a Large Jingle Bell to the center.
Step 8: Embellish the Candles
Wrap a piece of ribbon around the center of each candle and glue to secure. Add some Christmas florals or a Christmas pick to each of the three candles by gluing them to the ribbon.
Step 9: Add the Candles
Turn the glasses upside down and place the candles on the bases of the glasses. Do not glue. I used battery operated candles for my JOY home decor and the on and off switch is on the bottom. Once you have added the candles you have finished your Dollar Tree JOY Home Decor.
