What you will Need: How to Make a Dollar tree patriotic wall hanger

Step 1: Paint the Pallets

Paint each of the pallets white. I used white chalk paint but you could use acrylic or spray paint.

Step 2: Cover the Pallets with Mod Podge

Cover each of the pallets with Mod Podge. Let the Mod Podge dry completely before moving onto the next strep.

Step 3: Add the Napkins

I really wanted to use the Dollar Tree flag napkins. In order to do that I had to piece them together to get the effect I wanted. First, separate the layers. I only wanted to use the stripe part of the flag. The napkins have four panels so I cut out the four panels. Lay two of the stripe parts onto the pallets so that the stripes flow together. Place a piece of parchment paper on top of the napkins. Iron the parchment and napkins with an iron. to fuse the napkins to the pallets. Let cool.

Step 4: Remove the Excess Napkins

Using a sanding block or gator sanding tool remove the excess napkin from around the edges. Use an emory board to remove the napkin between the slats.

Step 4: Add more Mod Podge

Cover the napkins with another coat of Mod Podge.

Step 5: Paint the Stars

I used three stars that were connected to a patriotic tag. I removed the tag and painted them so that they were red, white and blue. One was already white and one was blue but I painted them to keep everything cohesive. Let the paint dry.

Step 6: Decoupage the Oval Plaque

Remove the jute hanger and set it aside. Paint the plaque blue. Once the paint is dry cover it with Mod Podge. Add the star fabric to the plaque in the same way you did for the pallets. Let dry. Add a second coat of Mod Podge on the napkin.

Hot glue the letters evenly and in the center of the plaque.

Create a bow using a Bowdabra or by hand. Use patriotic ribbon. Add a rusty jingle bell to the center of the bow. Hot glue it to the top pallet onto the extra ribbon and the pallet. Take a piece of jute and fold it in half. Add some red, white and blue beads. Hot glue it to the back of the top pallet. Hang the pieces your front door and celebrate.
