How to Make a Summer Ice Cream Wall hanging

I was on Facebook the other day and saw a person make a popsicle from a Dollar Tree wood Easter egg. I recalled that i had some smaller versions of those Easter eggs and thought I would create this really cute summer ice cream wall hanging. This is a very easy beginner craft project that anyone with basic crafting skills can make. I hope you enjoy this simple craft project. What you will Need: How to Make a Summer Ice Cream Wall Hanging

Step 1: Paint the wood Board

Paint the wood board a color that matches the paper that will match your paper or just plain white. I chose to paint my board white. Let the paint dry.

Step 2: Cover with Mod Podge

Once the board has dried cover it with Mod Podge. Let the Mod Podge dry completely.

Step 3: Add the Paper

Cover the board with the paper you have chosen. I chose a summer paper I had on hand. Place parchment paper on top of the paper and iron it with a hot iron to fuse the Mod Podge with the paper. Let cool. Cover the paper with Mod Podge.

Step 4: Paint the Eggs

I painted the eggs in bright summer colors. To give them the summer ice cream feel I divided them into three different colors. They have a slightly melted look to really give them the summer feel.

Step 5: Add the Craft Sticks

Hot glue the craft sticks evenly across the covered board.

Step 6: Attach the Egg Shapes

Use a combination of hot glue and e6000 to attach the egg shapes to the craft sticks so that the craft sticks are centered.

Step 7: Paint and glue on the letters

Add your words to your wall hanging using hot glue and e6ooo.

Step 8: Create and add the bows

Using the gingham ribbon create small bows to go just at the bottom of the ice cream sticks. Attach the bows using hot glue.

Step 10: Add the Hanger

Create a simple bow and hot glue it to the top of the wall hanging.
